HEP2go has been a go-to for physical therapists who need a quick, free way to hand patients an exercise sheet. Its free plan lets you save 2 routines and print from its library, and Pro ($7 a month or $70 a year) adds unlimited routines, email, SMS and QR code delivery, and your logo.
Where PTs tend to outgrow it is the patient side. HEP2go delivers programs as printouts, or by email, SMS or QR code on Pro, and we couldn't find a dedicated patient app, adherence tracking, or RTM. If you want patients to open a program on their phone, watch video, and get reminders, it's worth looking at the alternatives below.
We make ProperForm, one of the options here. Details for every other tool come from that vendor's own website as of October 2026; confirm current pricing before you buy.
What to look for in a HEP2go alternative
- A patient app, so programs live on the patient's phone instead of a sheet of paper.
- Video, whether from a stock library or filmed by you.
- A free plan or low price, since many HEP2go users are solo PTs or small clinics.
- HIPAA compliance, stated by the vendor.
1. ProperForm: programs built from your patient's own video
Instead of picking exercises from a library, you record your patient doing each exercise in the session and talk through your cues. ProperForm AI turns that into a structured program in about three seconds, which you review and edit. The patient scans a QR code and gets the program, with video of themselves, in the ProperForm app on iOS or Android.

- Pricing: Health Free is $0 (5 programs a month, up to 3 exercises each, 60-second recordings). Health Solo is $24.99/month with unlimited patients, programs and exercises.
- Good fit if: you're tired of searching a library and want programs that look like what you taught in the room.
- Keep in mind: there's no stock library to browse. Clinicians record on iPhone, iPad or Android phone.
2. Exercise Pro Live: a large library at a low price
- Pricing: $134/year for one user ($99 the first year), or $16.99/month. 2-week free trial.
- What you get: 7,000+ HD exercise videos, your own uploads, print or email/text delivery in 130+ languages, iOS and Android patient apps, and RTM on every plan.
- Good fit if: you like the library model and want apps and RTM without a big price jump.
3. Physitrack: library, patient app and telehealth
- Pricing: From $18.99 per practitioner per month on its pricing page, with a 2-week trial.
- What you get: 18,000+ exercises in 15+ languages, the free PhysiApp for patients on iOS, Android and web, built-in telehealth, and EMR integrations including Jane and Raintree.
- Good fit if: you want the largest library and telehealth in one place.
4. MedBridge: HEP plus continuing education
- Pricing: Annual individual plans (HEP sharing requires Premium); group pricing by quote.
- What you get: 8,000+ exercises, the MedBridge GO patient app with reminders, RTM tools, and continuing education courses.
- Good fit if: you'd use the CE catalog too, or your clinic needs EMR integrations like Epic or Raintree.
5. Prehab Professional: DPT-filmed exercises
- Pricing: $151.20 for the first year, then $189/year for Standard.
- What you get: 3,000+ exercises filmed by DPTs and delivery through the Prehab app.
- Good fit if: you want polished, clinician-filmed demos.
