The Best App for Personal Trainers to Send Workouts to Clients in 2026

Most personal trainer apps do the same core job: build a workout, send it to a client's phone, and see whether they did it. Where they differ is price at your client count, whether there's a free plan, how you build workouts, and how much else they try to run (payments, nutrition, booking).
We make ProperForm, one of the apps below, so we've tried to keep this useful rather than self-serving. Details for every other app come from that company's own website as of October 2026, at monthly billing in USD. Prices change, so check before you sign up.

ProperForm's Fitness Solo plan is one trainer with unlimited clients. Several of the others have tiers between these client counts, so your exact price may differ.
What to look for
- How you build workouts. Every app here except ProperForm starts from a stock exercise library and lets you add your own videos. Several now have AI builders that work from text prompts or uploaded documents.
- In-person or online. If you train on the gym floor, the workout you build should match what you just coached. If you coach online, messaging, check-ins and payments matter more.
- Price as you grow. Most apps charge by client count. Do the math at the roster you expect in a year, not today's.
- Branded app. Some include it, some charge a setup fee.
The apps
ProperForm: workouts built from your session
ProperForm is built for trainers who coach in person. You record your client doing each exercise during the session and talk through your cues as you normally would. ProperForm AI turns that into a structured workout program in about three seconds, with exercise names, sets, reps and cues for you to review and edit. Your client scans a QR code and gets the program, with video of themselves, in the ProperForm app.

- Pricing: Fitness Free ($0, 5 programs a month, up to 3 exercises per program, 60-second recordings). Fitness Solo $19.99/month with unlimited clients, programs and exercises. Fitness Team $24.99 per trainer/month for gyms with several coaches. Annual billing is about 10% less.
- Platforms: Record on iPhone, iPad or Android phone; clients use iOS or Android.
- Keep in mind: No stock exercise library, by design. It's focused on building and delivering programs, so it doesn't include payments, nutrition tracking or scheduling.
Trainerize
The most widely used all-in-one platform, from solo trainers to gyms, with booking for in-person sessions and classes.
- Pricing: Free for 1 client, Grow $10/month for 2, then Pro tiers from $25/month (5 clients) up to $250/month (200). 30-day free trial.
- Building workouts: Professionally built exercises plus custom and YouTube videos on Pro. An AI Workout Builder (Grow and up) drafts single workouts from a text prompt, client data, or an uploaded file.
- Also: iOS, Android and Apple Watch apps, messaging, habits, meal tracking, wearable integrations, and a custom branded app for a one-time $169 on Pro.
TrueCoach
A straightforward delivery-focused app for strength, bodybuilding and hybrid coaches.
- Pricing: Starter $29.98/month (5 clients), Standard $69.98 (20), Pro $164.98 (50). 14-day trial, no free plan.
- Building workouts: A 3,000+ video exercise library, plus your own uploads or YouTube and Vimeo links.
- Also: iOS and Android apps, printable PDF workouts, in-app messaging with video, Stripe payments in some countries, and a custom-branded app on Standard and Pro.
Everfit
An all-in-one platform with a generous free tier and AI that turns written notes into workouts.
- Pricing: Free for up to 5 clients. Pro runs $19/month (5 clients) to $95/month (50) and beyond.
- Building workouts: 1,000+ exercise videos, your own uploads, and an AI Workout Builder (beta) that converts text program notes or a PDF workout into trackable workouts.
- Also: iOS, Android and web client apps, messaging, habits, payments, and paid add-ons for meal plans and automation.
QuickCoach
The most generous free option: up to 20 active clients at no cost.
- Pricing: Free for 20 active clients. Pro is $39/month or $390/year for unlimited clients, branding and nutrition. 14-day Pro trial.
- Building workouts: Add YouTube or Vimeo videos and voice notes to tasks.

Built for performance and strength coaches who train teams and gym floors as well as remote athletes.
- Pricing: From $9.99/month for 1 athlete, $17.99 for 5, $44.99 for 25, $74.99 for 50, with tiers up to 1,000. 14-day trial.
